You will need an original source image - one that you have taken of New Orleans using a digital camera - with an exaggerated sense of perspective.
This is defined as one (or all) of the following:
1) a proper one-point perspective (with a vanishing point on a horizon line)
2) a strong diagonal line
3) a dramatic camera angle
If you are still unsure, see the examples hanging in 401.

Week 10: Wednesday, October 27

1:00 - 1:30PM
Please use this time to pin-up your in-progress assignment, Color Chart with Three Columns in Watercolor. Faculty will be on hand to help. It is not important that you hang up as a section. See instructions posted in the 4th Floor Hallway.
To Clarify
You are pinning up the design you will be turning in next week. It should be penciled in. If you have begun taping the borders/design, that’s fine. You may have started painting. All acceptable.
If you have been painting neat, orderly, proper columns that are not part of your final design, I consider that research, or more specifically, a wonderfully methodical way of testing your colors. I have not specified in what form your color mixing tests should take. It could be pages of squiggles. In any case, have these tests ready to show your reviewer today, but no do pin them up.

204/ 1:30PM
All sections will meet in 204 at 1:30PM. Please bring your Visual Journals and sharpened Prismacolor Pencils and/or any other media you want for an in-class drawing exercise. We will discuss the review process, which will follow our session in 204.

There are no site visits scheduled for this afternoon.
